This anti-clockwise close cartridge controls water flow through the valve. It is a clockwise open quarter-turn cartridge, and a common symptom of flow cartridge failure is water continuing to drip from the shower head, spout or outlet when the valve is turned off.

Before ordering, compare the old cartridge with the measurements above, especially the total length, 20-tooth top spline, 1/2 inch BSP lower thread and anti-clockwise close operating direction. Do not order by valve appearance alone, as similar Dornbracht valves can use different head parts.

Installation Note

Shut off the water supply before removal. Clean the valve body seat before fitting the new cartridge and apply a suitable silicone grease to the O-rings and bottom seal to help protect the seals during installation.
