This GP0012052 compatible spare is a 3/4-inch ceramic disc flow cartridge for the Crosswater Sol Recessed shower valve. It provides an alternative to the discontinued original Crosswater GP0012052 cartridge and operates the shower's on/off flow control.

The cartridge opens and shuts the water flow; it is not the separate thermostatic cartridge that regulates the shower temperature. Water continuing to drip from the shower head when the flow control is fully closed can indicate that the flow cartridge's ceramic discs or seals are no longer sealing correctly.

Before Ordering

Check the GP0012052 reference and compare the existing cartridge with the product photographs. Check the overall length, spindle length, spline count, spline diameter, threaded fitting, sealing arrangement and closing direction. The 3/4-inch size alone does not establish fitment, and other Crosswater shower valves may use different flow cartridges.

Make sure you need the on/off cartridge rather than the thermostatic cartridge or a non-return valve. A temperature-control fault requires separate diagnosis and should not automatically be treated as a flow-cartridge fault.

Fitting Notes

Isolate the water supplies before removing the existing cartridge. Check the valve seating area for debris and apply a small amount of suitable silicone grease to the cartridge O-ring and bottom seal during installation. After fitting, restore the supplies and check for leaks and correct shut-off.
