Common signs of cartridge failure include poor shut-off, stiff or uneven handle movement, irregular flow, or water dripping from the basin spout when the tap is turned off.

Installation and Checking Notes

Before ordering, check the tap model and compare the removed cartridge with the photos and details for X1A110N. The diameter alone should not be used to confirm fitment because similar-looking cartridges can differ by locating pins, O-rings and internal design.

When servicing the tap, isolate the water supplies first. Remove the cover cap, loosen the handle screw with a hex key, remove the handle and cover, undo the retaining nut, then lift out the cartridge while noting its orientation. Flush debris away, lightly grease the seals with silicone grease and refit the cartridge in the same orientation.

For WP110DNC installations, the tap is a single-flow mixer where the hot and cold water mix inside the body. Pipework should be flushed thoroughly before refitting the cartridge, and balanced hot and cold pressures are important for correct mixer operation. Hot water should connect to the left inlet when the tap is viewed from the front.
