The BR-PR234 is a cold-side flow control cartridge compatible with selected Bristan Prism thermostatic shower bar valves originally fitted with the Bristan VLV 24809 flow valve. It is a screw-in quarter-turn cartridge used to open and shut off the water flow through the shower valve.
The original Bristan reference is VLV 24809. This BR-PR234 cartridge provides the replacement option for the VLV 24809 arrangement. A common symptom of a worn flow cartridge is water continuing to drip from the shower head when the shower is turned off or the flow control no longer shutting the water off correctly.

Prism bar valves were produced with different thermostatic cartridge arrangements. The threaded 00650410 thermostatic cartridge and the push-fit CART 06734B arrangement are different parts and should not be treated as interchangeable.
