Kerox KDN35A Diverter Cartridge

The Kerox KDN35A is a 35mm ceramic rotary diverter cartridge for shower valve applications where the cartridge is used to direct water between outlets or operate as a mixing cartridge without shut-off.

This cartridge is a rotary type component. When used as a diverter, pre-mixed water enters through one port and is directed to one or both outlet ports. When used as a mixer, hot and cold feeds enter through separate ports and the mixed water exits through the outlet port.

Important Before Ordering Check

Check the existing cartridge code, body shape, port layout, spline and valve function before ordering. The KDN35A should not be selected from the 35mm size alone because different 35mm cartridges can have different porting, rotation and shut-off behaviour.

Fault Diagnosis

- - Symptom: water is sent to the wrong outlet or does not divert cleanly

- - Likely Cause: worn ceramic diverter plates or damaged seals inside the diverter cartridge

- - Solution: replace the diverter cartridge and lubricate the seals during installation

- - Symptom: water drips from the shower head or spout when turned off

- - Likely Cause: the separate on-off or flow control valve may also require inspection because the KDN35A does not provide shut-off

- - Solution: check both the diverter cartridge and the separate flow control cartridge before ordering replacement parts

Installation Note

Apply suitable silicone grease to the o-rings and bottom seals before fitting. Do not over-tighten the retaining parts and make sure the cartridge is aligned with the valve ports before reassembly.
