Simple Tap Repair Tips
This replacement valve suitable for the TFL1CM Rangemaster Aquaflux is a ceramic disc cartridge which closes with a clockwise turn and opens anti-clockwise. The spare part sits in the cold (right) side of the tap.
• Corrosion might have occurred under the tap handle. When this happens, extra force might be needed to remove it. Hold the tap base securely in place before taking out the handle.
• The spanner size used to unscrew the cartridge is 17mm.
• Applying grease on the O-ring and bottom seal of the Rangemaster Aquaflux replacement cartridge helps the new part squeeze and seal in the tap seat.
(An apt silicone-based plumbing grease can be seen in the section below.)
