Answer: The nut on the older version of the Franke Ticino tap cartridge is 2 sided (2 flat sides). On the newer version of the cartridge, the nut has 6 sides (hexagon). This is the right compatible spare part for the Franke Ticino.
Important: Please be aware that this replacement cartridge is for taps sold on February 2009 until March 2012.
Question: Is it really important to grease the O-rings?
Answer: Greasing the O-ring of the cartridge with silicone lubricant made for plumbing application is crucial. This step should be done before fitting the Franke Ticino tap cartridge in the valve.
