The Swing Spray kitchen tap made by Switzerland-based, kitchen appliance manufacturer Franke is a single lever, ceramic disc tap with a pull-out hand spray spout. This 40mm ceramic cartridge is a Franke Swing Spray tap spare suitable for the tap released prior to 2010 March.

A ceramic disc cartridge is durable. The material is heat sintered giving it a hard surface that can withstand high pressure. Sand and other hard water debris do not adhere to ceramic as compared with brass.

Technical Information: Franke Swing Spray Tap Spare Cartridge
Franke compatible spare part FUN # 133.0069.392 and 888.009.000 has a 25° angle adjustment. It is a push-fit cartridge with three bottom ports safeguarded from leaks by a single o-ring.

How to Install the Franke Swing Spray Tap Cartridge
As a general rule, please shut off the tap’s water supplies before endeavoring the repair.

1. Lift the tap handle to the “on” position. Remove the hot and cold indicator and unfasten the screw behind it to free the handle.
2. Unscrew the protective shroud by hand and the retaining nut (or collar) that secures the cartridge.
3. Withdraw the faulty cartridge out of the tap valve.

4. Grease the o-rings of the Franke Swing Spray cartridge (133.0069.392 / 888.009.000) with a proper silicone lubricant using your fingers or a small brush. This will protect the o-rings from abrasion or pinching which, in a way, will prevent early deterioration.
5. Insert the cartridge in the tap valve. Rotate the cartridge until it can no longer move.

6. Restore the retaining nut, the shroud, the handle, and the hot and cold indicator.
7. Open water supplies and check if the cartridge installation is perfectly achieved.
