The Franke Planar tap has two versions: the pre-February 2008 and the version post-February 2008. And there are three versions of the cartridge: the 3549R, the 3547R, and the 2307R. The earlier one comes with 20 splines (product code 3549R) and the current ones (product codes 3547R and 2307R) has 28 spline teeth.

Difference between the latest cartridge versions lays in the thread count: the 3547R has one thread and the 2307R has two threads. The shift from one cartridge design to another took place in 2007. Also, the 2307R is made with a larger bottom seal than the 3547R.

To know which is the right replacement part, please do check the exact cartridge your tap is carrying by accessing it from the tap valve seat. This can be done by removing the handle and undoing the cartridge out using a small spanner.
