Bristan E10009 Thermostatic Cartridge Installation

Have a Bristan Carre shower mixer bar? This is how you can remove and replace the Bristan thermostatic cartridge CR SHXDIV/FF E10009.

In order to prevent unwanted injuries from accidental water flow, please make sure you switch off the shower’s hot and cold water supply before starting the Bristan E10009 replacement process.

1. Pop out the small circular cover cap from the side of the Bristan Carre bar shower.

2. There is a screw which you can now access. Loosen the screw until you can pull the handle from the valve.

3. Before removing the temperature stop ring, remember its orientation. You can take a photo of the part before removing it. This will come in handy during reassembly.

*About the Bristan CR SHXDIV/FF E10009 temperature cartridge stop ring: The ring serves as a temperature limiter, hence the importance of returning it in the same position during reassembly.

4. Unscrew the cartridge retaining lock nut. This will free the faulty Bristan E10009 from the valve. Pull the cartridge out.

5. Install the replacement Bristan CR SHXDIV/FF E10009 in the Carre shower bar and follow steps one to four in reverse order.
