The Vado C-207-RTC is a 1/2 inch ceramic disc cold-water flow cartridge designed for use in selected Vado kitchen and basin mixer taps. It controls cold water supply shut-off and flow when fitted in mixer valve bodies specified for C-207-RTC alongside the matching hot cartridge C-207-LTC.
Function
This cartridge regulates cold water flow through the mixer’s internal disc valve assembly, providing reliable on/off control and contributing to stable mixed water flow when used with the corresponding hot cartridge. It is intended only for taps whose spare-parts listings or documentation identify C-207-RTC as the correct spare flow cartridge.
Confirmed Compatible Vado Models and Collections
- Vado Elements collection kitchen mixer taps (for example model CUC-1063-S/S) which list cold cartridge C-207-RTC and hot cartridge C-207-LTC
- Other Vado single-lever kitchen or basin mixer taps using 1/2 inch disc valve assemblies as specified in Vado’s UK specification manual
Additional compatible mixer models may exist within Vado’s range when their parts list names C-207-RTC as the cold-side ceramic disc cartridge. Always confirm by checking your tap’s model code or the marking on the existing cartridge before ordering.
Selection and Verification
Before ordering, verify your mixer’s spare-parts listing or inspect the existing cartridge to confirm it matches C-207-RTC. Ensure inlet connection size and valve body geometry correspond to those used in confirmed models — appearance alone is insufficient, as Vado uses multiple cartridge formats across different tap families.
When Replacement Is Recommended
Consider replacing the cold cartridge if the mixer leaks cold water when off, shut-off is unreliable, flow becomes weak or uneven, or the handle movement becomes stiff or rough. Installing a properly matched C-207-RTC cartridge can restore reliable cold-side flow control and restore optimal mixer function without replacing the entire tap unit.
