Stern Jupiter 2040 125900 is a concealed touch free electronic flush valve for urinals with a stainless steel faceplate. It is operated by an infrared sensor and is used to provide automatic urinal flushing once the user moves away from the urinal.

This battery powered Jupiter 2040 valve is intended for commercial and public washroom urinal installations where hands-free operation, water saving and hygiene flushing are required. The valve uses an internal 9V battery supply and the stainless steel panel gives a clean vandal-resistant front finish for exposed washroom areas.

Before Ordering and Installation Checks

Check that the existing valve is the Stern Jupiter 2040 battery version with code 125900 before ordering. The transformer powered Jupiter 2040 E and the H or HE variants use different power or panel arrangements.

Before installation the supply pipework should be flushed so debris, sealing tape or metal particles do not enter the valve. Avoid positioning the sensor directly opposite a mirror or another infrared electronic product as reflections can affect sensor operation.

Troubleshooting Checks

- - Symptom: sensor flashes continuously when a user enters range. Likely cause: low battery. Solution: replace the 9V battery.

- - Symptom: valve does not flush and the LED does not flash. Likely cause: sensor range, flat battery or reflection issue. Solution: check the battery, sensor position and surrounding reflective surfaces.
