The Stern 225710 TOUCH FREE E AB1953 is a complete electronic basin sensor tap for lavatory mounting with a 9V transformer power supply. It is a deck-mounted touch-free faucet for cold or premixed water and uses an infrared sensor to open and close the water flow automatically.
This Stern sensor tap is designed for commercial and public washroom installations where hands-free operation helps reduce contact with the fitting. The solid brass one-piece body is used with a solenoid valve assembly to control water delivery when the sensor detects the user's hands.

Installation and Servicing Notes
Flush the water supply lines before installation so debris does not enter the faucet or solenoid assembly. Make sure the stainless steel filter is fitted between the flexible pipe and the shut-off valve and avoid positioning the sensor directly opposite a mirror or another infrared sensor.
Reduced water flow can be caused by a blocked filter or aerator. No water from the spout or water that does not stop correctly can be caused by incorrect sensor range, reflections, debris in the solenoid, a blocked or torn diaphragm, disconnected connectors or water pressure outside the recommended range.
