Magnetic shower door seals ensure the shower enclosure is watertight. It prevents not only water, but also steam, from seeping out of your shower area. Made of durable vinyl with a magnetic strip, this shower screen part can be used in any type of frameless shower door, including glass sliding doors. The right replacement magnetic seal is determined by the thickness of your shower door.

This product is flat and it is used for non-angled doors.

For angled doors:
– 2173GA6-85.
– The 90-degree angled magnetic shower door seal is part number 2168GA6-85.
– 2170GA6-85 is for 135-degree shower doors.

How to Install a Magnetic Shower Seal
When the seals on your shower screen are beginning to wear out and replacing it is unavoidable, here is a simple guide on how to change the shower screen part.

You can remove the old seal by pulling it out. With a glass scraper, clean the side of the door where the seal once was. Spray it with glass cleaner and wipe with a clean rag.

Measure the length of the door and cut the replacement seal accordingly:
– Use a junior hacksaw to cut the magnet and the seal.
– Use a box cutter or sharp scissors to trim all four edges of the seal.

Push the seal against the side of the shower door.

Answer: You can use a weatherproof silicone sealant. That type of sealant will prevent mildew growth.

Question: Will I get 2 seals in 1 order?
Answer: No only one strip per order. If you need two, you will have to order two.

Question: My shower door has a 1/4 inch gap glass to glass. Will this work?
Answer: Yes it can work with a quarter inch gap.
