The Ideal Standard A861371NU is a thermostatic cartridge for Ceratherm exposed and deck mounted shower and bath shower mixers. It regulates mixed water temperature inside the valve and provides thermal shutdown if the cold water supply fails helping to maintain safe and stable outlet temperature.

Function

The cartridge blends hot and cold inlets within the mixer body to hold a set outlet temperature even when supply pressure or temperature varies. In the event of cold supply loss the internal mechanism reduces or shuts off hot flow to limit the risk of scalding.
