GROHE 43066000 Solenoid Valve - 1.7W - 12V DC for Infrared Basin Taps
The GROHE 43066000 is a 12V DC 1.7W solenoid valve used in selected GROHE Allure E and Essence E infrared electronic basin taps and mixers. It is the electrically operated water-control valve within the tap assembly, rather than the infrared sensor, transformer or temperature-mixing mechanism.
The solenoid opens and closes the water supply in response to the tap's electronic controls. Replacing a defective valve can restore automatic water delivery or shut-off, but supply interruptions, blocked filters and disconnected electrical plugs should be checked before a non-operating tap is attributed to solenoid failure.

Before Ordering
Check the exact tap model, assembly version and existing solenoid part number. Compare the electrical connector and mounting arrangement before ordering; a matching voltage or similar appearance alone does not establish fitment. The 12V DC specification applies to this solenoid and should not be confused with the electrical specifications of the complete tap or its transformer.
Troubleshooting
Symptom: water continues to flow when the tap should have shut off. Likely Cause: a defective solenoid valve. Solution: have the valve checked and replace it if the fault is confirmed.
Symptom: no water flows when the tap is activated. Likely Cause: an interrupted water supply, blocked filter, disconnected plug, missing electrical supply or defective solenoid. Solution: check the supplies, connections and filter before replacing the valve.
Installation Notes
Isolate both the water and electrical supplies before servicing. Follow the instructions for the exact tap model, observe the solenoid's installation position and check the associated filter during the repair. After reassembly, check for leaks and confirm that the tap starts and stops the water flow correctly.
Related Spares You May Need
These are separate maintenance parts for the relevant tap assemblies above. The aerator and waste rods are not required for every solenoid repair, and the waste rods do not control water flow through the tap.
