The cartridge fits inside the shower column's diverter assembly and directs water to the selected outlet. It is an outlet-selection component, separate from the mixer's flow and temperature controls, and is not a thermostatic cartridge.

Before Ordering

Check the complete shower column model reference and the AG0073207R spare code before ordering. The Victoria or Loft range name alone is not sufficient to identify the correct cartridge. Compare the removed cartridge's body, spindle and base connections, and check the condition of the existing nut because a new nut is not included.

Fault Finding

Difficulty changing outlets or water passing from an unselected outlet can indicate a diverter fault. Persistent dripping from the shower head or spout when the mixer is turned off should also be investigated at the separate flow-control cartridge; do not assume that changing the diverter alone will resolve a shut-off problem.

Installation

Isolate the water supplies before dismantling the diverter assembly. Follow the servicing instructions for your exact shower column, then check for leaks and correct outlet selection after fitting.
