RWC Reliance Heatguard HEAT110020 TMV2/3 Thermostatic Mixing Valve
The Reliance Heatguard HEAT110020 is a thermostatic mixing valve designed to blend hot and cold water to deliver a regulated, safe outlet temperature for showers, baths, basins or bidets. It is approved under TMV2/TMV3 and complies with relevant standards for scald protection and public or healthcare use.
Function
This valve automatically mixes hot and cold water supplies to maintain a consistent outlet temperature. If the cold supply fails, it shuts off the hot water flow to prevent scalding. It provides temperature stability even under pressure or supply fluctuations, ensuring a safe and comfortable flow.
Key Technical Specifications
Factory temperature setting 38 °C with an adjustable outlet temperature range of 35 – 60 °C. Operating pressure range 0.1–5.0 bar (low pressure) and up to 6.0 bar for high-pressure applications. Minimum flow rate 4 L/min. Maximum static pressure 14–16 bar. Internal seals made with Viton for improved high-temperature and scale resistance performance.
Applications & Use Cases
Suitable for shower, bath fill, basin or bidet installations where regulated water temperature and scald protection are required. Commonly used in commercial buildings, healthcare environments, public washrooms and residential properties where safety standards demand thermostatic mixing valves. Compliant with TMV2 & TMV3 certification schemes and relevant building regulations for temperature control and water safety.
Selection and Installation Notes
Use with copper pipework only as specified. Inlet supplies should meet minimum temperature differential requirements (hot supply typically 55–65 °C, cold supply below 25 °C). The valve must be installed with inline isolation valves and strainers where required. After installation, the outlet temperature must be commissioned and tested with a thermometer and supply isolation checks per manufacturer instructions.
When Replacement or Maintenance Is Recommended
Inspect periodically for limescale buildup or wear, especially on seals and internal parts. Perform regular supply isolation tests. Replace if the valve fails to maintain temperature stability, does not shut off hot supply when cold water fails, or shows leakage or internal wear. Using genuine Heatguard HEAT110020 ensures continued compliance with TMV2/TMV3 safety standards and reliable thermostatic mixing performance.
