The Bristan BLH163 is a chrome flow handle assembly used on selected Bristan Artisan thermostatic bath filler and bath shower mixer tap assemblies. It is the external handle for the flow control side of the tap and should not be ordered as a thermostatic cartridge or internal valve.
The handle operates the separate flow valve fitted inside the tap body. If the handle is damaged, loose, cracked, missing or no longer gripping the spindle correctly, replacing the handle assembly can restore normal manual operation of the flow control. If the tap continues to drip from the bath spout or shower handset when turned off, or if the water flow cannot be shut off correctly, check the internal Bristan VS5412-BZ24 Valve as well as the handle.
