Infrared Saunas – A Different Alternative.
A new alternative to the conventional sauna is the new infrared sauna. Using the technology of far infrared waves, these new saunas use an infrared wavelength which emits heat and warms the body. Infrared lies between visible light and microwaves on the electromagnetic spectrum. The closer the wavelength gets to microwaves the cooler the air temperature will be as the waves tend to interact less with objects through which they pass.
Far infrared saunas work by heating the body directly, therefore the air temperature isn’t nearly as warm or stifling as a traditional sauna. This efficient sauna bathing method can induce sweating of up to 3 times as much as a traditional sauna. The ‘waves’ of energy can sound a little concerning, but scientific research has shown that it is the best way to rid the body of many man-made toxins we take in everyday.
Available in all shapes and sizes to suit many homes, expect them to slowly become more commonplace in the near future.
